Yesterday was Easter, and while many people sought an excuse for cheer, I had a lot of orchids smiling at me!
I’m not actively collecting anymore, but friends keep getting them, and when the plants don’t rebloom for them (a year or two later) they give me the tired old carcasses.
They bloom for me!
Phalaenopsis (this type of orchid) usually bloom late February until May, which is why I have so many showing off. I think I purchased two of these, and the rest were friends’ throw-aways. But they’re all happy campers now!
Baloo helped my photo shoot in a cat-like way. She kept getting in the way of the camera (trying to figure out why the orchids smelled so good!)
